Tombstone Soup

ingredients:
3 large links of mild sausage
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
4 slices of bacon, diced
1 onion, diced
3 cloves garlic
6 cups water
2 Tbs. chicken bullion
6 potatoes, julienned or diced
1 cup half and half
1 bunch kale with stems removed

directions:
1. sauté the onion add sausage to brown and bacon to cook through, add garlic. Drain oil as much grease as you can (if you don't drain it well, there will be a layer of unsightly orange fat on the top layer of your soup). Return to the pan, salt meat and add pepper flakes.
2. Add water, bullion, and potatoes, bring to a boil. Cool for about 10 to 15 until the potatoes are tender. Reduce heat stir in half and half and kale.
