Grandma McKenna's Chocolate Cherry Cake
ingredients:
1 fudge or chocolate box cake mix
21 oz. cherry pie filling
1 tsp. almond extract
2 eggs
directions: Mix the above ingredients and pour into greased & floured 9 x 13 cake pan. Bake at 350' for 30-35 min.
icing ingredients:
1 cup sugar
5 Tbs. butter
1/3 cup milk
add:
1 cup chocolate chips
directions: Combine the above ingredients in a medium sauce pan. Bring to a boil. Boil for 2 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add chocolate chips. Stir until chips are melted. Pour on cake and let cool.
