Frankenstein Martha Washington or doctored Chocolate Box Cake

  • FRANKENSTEIN WHITE BOX CAKE
  • ingredients:
  • 1 box Vanilla Cake Mix
  • 1 cup (142 g or 5 oz.) all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup (57 g or 2 oz.) vegetable oil 
  • 1/2 cup (113 g or 4 oz.) melted butter
  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup (170 g or 6 oz.) sour cream 
  • 1 cup (198 g or 7 oz.) sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
  • directions:
            Preheat oven to 350℉. Prepare two 8" or 9" round cake pans (or 36 cupcakes). 
    • Add all dry ingredients into the bowl, Add in the rest of your ingredients and mix on low for 1 minute. 
    • Stop and scrape the bowl and then mix on medium for two minutes. 
    • Pour batter into your cake pans and bake for 30- 35 minutes until a toothpick comes out of the center with just a few sticky crumbs clinging to the toothpick. 
    • Let cool a few minutes in the pan before turning out onto a cooling rack. Let cool fully and frost.

  • 1/2 cup (57 g or 2 oz.) cocoa powder 
  • 1 1/2 cups (340 g or 12 oz.) cold pero 
  • 1/4 cup (57 g or 2 oz.) vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup (113 g or 4 oz.) melted butter

  • 3 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup (170 g or 6 oz.) sour cream
  • 1 cup (198 g or 7 oz.sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp vanilla extract
